The form reads your lists
Answer choices, autofill and validation come from a spreadsheet, a database or another form of yours.
What a data source is
A data source is a list outside the form: a Google Sheets column, a MySQL or PostgreSQL table, a Notion database, or answers from a field on another form in your account. The form reads the list and refreshes it on an interval in minutes. The interval cannot be shorter than five minutes.
How it works in the form
-
Connect a source
Google Sheets, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Notion, or a field from another form of yours.
-
Give the list to a field
Radio buttons, checkboxes and dropdowns read their choices from a source column.
-
Fill in a value or check the answer
A person picks a row from the list, and another field fills itself from a column of that row. Separately, a field can check the input: allow only what is in the source, or only what is not there.
What a source can do
Answer choices
Radio buttons, checkboxes and dropdowns take choices from a column instead of a list typed by hand.
Autofill
From the matched row, another field receives the value of the chosen column.
Value check
The field accepts only a value that is in the source, or only a value that is not there.
Five connections
Google Sheets, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Notion, and a field from another FormDesigner form on the same account.
Refresh in minutes
The interval is set in minutes. The minimum is 5.
One list for every form
The source is stored on the account. Connect a spreadsheet once and use it in fields of any of your forms.
