Import forms from Google Forms and TypeForm

Today we want to tell you about our new feature that has appeared in our web form builder - importing web forms from other services.

At the moment, the following services are available:

• Google forms
• TypeForm

Over time, this list will be updated with other services, for your convenience.

How do I transfer a form from TypeForm to FormDesigner?

For example, let's look at how to import your form from the TypeForm constructor to FormDesigner. To do this, go to the page for creating a new form. There is a new button “Import form”:

If you click on this button, you will be taken to a page where all available services will be displayed, from which you can transfer the form to FormDesigner:

Let's choose the TypeForm service here, and then we'll get to the page of this service:

Here, the first thing you need to do is provide access to your TypeForm account to import forms. To do this, click on the “Provide access” button, after which you will be redirected to the typeform website, where you need to log in and give us access to your forms:

By clicking on the “Accept” button, you provide access to your forms. If everything is done correctly, you will return to your personal account, where a list of your forms from TypeForm will be displayed:

In the “Typeform form” drop-down list, select the form that you want to import into FormDesigner. In the “Form Name” field, specify the name of the form that will be displayed in FormDesigner. After that, click on the “Import" button.

The form is imported in the background and takes some time. After the form is created, you will receive a notification about it:

You can immediately open a new form and check the settings. If your TypeForm form contains scoring for different answer options, then we will create a formula on the last page of the form in which scoring will be configured in the same way.

At the moment, the transfer of the branching logic and the output of different form results is not implemented.
